About Jadau Jewelry

Our Story

Jadau jewellery is more than adornment — it's a heritage. Rooted in the royal courts of Rajasthan and Gujarat and introduced by the Mughals, Jadau is a timeless legacy that symbolizes power, passion, and precision.

Derived from the Hindi word “Jad,” meaning “to embed,” Jadau captures the spirit of intricate stone embedding in molten gold. A treasure born from craftsmanship and patience.

The Art of Jadau

Creating Jadau jewellery is a sacred ritual passed down through generations. It involves multiple artisans working in harmony to craft each piece:

  • 1. Ghaat (Framework): The base is sculpted from pure gold, shaped into ornate patterns.
  • 2. Pakai (Stone Setting): Uncut diamonds (Polki), rubies, and emeralds are delicately embedded.
  • 3. Chillai (Polishing): Every surface is polished meticulously to perfection.
  • 4. Meenakari (Enameling): The reverse is adorned with vibrant enamel art — a hidden story in every jewel.
